Maskat Shrine of Wichita Falls will again present a superb player lineup in the longest-running high school football all-stars game in the world. The Oil Bowl started as a simple summertime West Texas vs. East Texas high school all-star football game back in 1938. Beginning with the 75th game in 2012, net proceeds go to Shriners Hospitals for Children. Today the Oil Bowl is one of the most prestigious postseason all-star games in the United States.

It all started here...the original Ranch Rodeo. The event showcases top historic Texas ranches, the hard work of the real working cowboy, and every facet of ranch life. Ranches will compete in chuckwagon cooking, cowboy art, and of course, real ranch events. Friday and Saturday night enjoy real cowboy action as teams compete in bronc riding, calf doctoring, team branding, team penning, and wild cow milking.

Hotter ‘N Hell Hundred

This race grew out of efforts to find a special way for Wichita Falls to celebrate its 1982 centennial. The Wichita Falls Bicycle Club proposed a bicycle ride—100 miles in 100 degree heat to celebrate 100 years, coining the name. The Hotter 'N Hell Hundred is still the largest single-day 100-mile bicycle ride in the nation—and one of the largest in the world.

Southern States Chainsaw Carving Championship
